I am a retired state employee, now focused on freelance writing. My degree is in Psychology and Sociology, but how I wish I had majored in Journalism. Writing is my life and defines who I am. Painting pictures in my writing makes my writing take on a life.I wrote a story about my grandchildren that was published in a magazine. I live with my husband in Oklahoma City and have two grown children and two grandchildren.

 Sitting at my computer, thinking of the vast amount of stories to be told makes my day. Some articles are a result of conversations, research, creative thinking, just thinking, and some evolve from speeches in my speech club. My work in a medical field  aroused my interest in the health niche of writing. Stories are available everywhere you go, even about your own neighborhood..  I have written for eHow, Helium, Stumbleupon but now concentrate on HubPages. I write about health and diseases, technology (computer problems), relationships, home improvement, art and decor, writing and  psychology.

 My favorite experience was a course I took online from a famous romance writer about using descriptive settings. and the five senses in writing. An assignment I loved was pretending to be a color, and I picked the color red. My favorite stories are about my family, but you can't write about them all the time. My favorite article was about a high school teacher who influenced my life.
